For the game against Betis, the club’s website predicts United’s line-up will be 4-2-3-1.

4 is the back four panel.

2 is McTominay and Casemiro.

3 are Amad, Eriksen, Sancho.

1 is Rashford

However, the formation on the pitch was different from the club’s expected layout. On the pitch, they stood 4-2-4-0.

4 is back four

2 is Eriksen and Casemiro.

4 are Ahmad (right wing), McTominay, Sancho, Rashford (left wing).

McTominay will play tall as a false nine, while Rashford and Sancho will swap positions during the game.

At times in the game, Sancho would drop back into the forward position. With Rashford on the left wing, or Rashford would drop back into the forward position, with Sancho on the left wing.

This stance is the same as the one used by Manchester United to beat Manchester City in last season’s FA Cup final. Or will Erik ten Hag use this plan again on August 10?
