Bukayo Saka injury update after Ipswich star slammed for ‘ridiculous’ tackle

Jamie Carragher took aim at Leif Davis following his sending off in Ipswich’s 4-0 defeat to Arsenal, condemning the defender’s ‘absolutely ridiculous’ challenge on Bukayo Saka.

Watching back replays of the challenge the half-time break, punditry panel of Carragher, Micah Richards and Roy Keane had little sympathy for Davis.

‘They looke at it a few times because you’re thinking it’s almost one of those where it’s in between a yellow and a red… almost like an orange if you like.
‘But the more you look at it, it’s a really good decision from the officials and what he is doing is absolutely ridiculous. There is no way he can get the ball.’
Ex-Manchester City star Richards chime in: ‘He just trie to nick it, hasn’t he? That’s what he trie to do.
‘I don’t think he’s trie to do him, but I agree with Carra.’
Saka laste just 12 minutes of the second half before being replace by Ethan Nwaneri.
